Races Saturday at Alberton Museum Grand Opening

Racing at 2 pm.
Saturday, August 25th at 1 pm, the official opening of the West Prince Horsemen’s Hall of Fame will take place at the Alberton Exhibition Grounds. Full of pictures, memorabilia and ongoing race tapes, the museum honors and is a remembrance for the many horsemen and their families who had their start in the West Prince area, including, of course, Joe O’Brien.
You are invited to participate in this tribute to the past and present ambassadors of the harness racing sport, some of whom have made the ability of Island horsemen famous throughout North America and beyond. The grand opening ceremony is at 1 pm; harness racing will take place at 2. Feed is being donated as race prizes. These are not Challenge Series races but it is hoped that local horsemen will take part in a gesture of support.
Entries should be called to Phillip DesRoche at 859-1515 by Thursday.
